Industries we work with
Synesis is deliberately focused on a small number of contexts rather than trying to serve every industry at once. Here's where we actually have proof behind the work, and where we're headed next.
AI transformation for nonprofit constraints
Most AI consulting is built for organizations with a dedicated IT department and a discretionary budget. Nonprofits and nonprofit-adjacent organizations have neither, and every dollar spent on a tool that doesn't work is a dollar not spent on mission work.
What makes this different
Synesis's founder has personally run AI-driven workforce development at nonprofit scale, not as a case study he read about, but as the founder and CEO of Urban Food Alliance (UFA), which has trained more than 5,000 people through its own AI and workforce programs. That's the perspective behind this vertical: what actually works when your team is small, your budget is grant-funded, and you can't afford a failed rollout.

How Synesis and Urban Food Alliance relate
Synesis is a standalone, for-profit company. Urban Food Alliance is a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Synesis is not a UFA division, consulting arm, or program, and UFA's community members and participants are not a Synesis sales pipeline. UFA is referenced here as public proof of the founder's community-impact work and nonprofit-sector experience; any commercial engagement between the two organizations is handled as its own, separately structured and disclosed relationship, not assumed or implied by this page.
Where nonprofits usually start
The same two starting points as every Synesis client: a scoped look at where AI is actually worth the investment, or hands-on training if the real gap is that your team already has Microsoft 365 or Copilot access and isn't using it. The difference here is the lens: workflows built around grant reporting, volunteer coordination, donor management, and community program delivery, not generic “enterprise” processes.
Pricing
A nonprofit-specific pricing tier, lower and more grant-friendly than the standard AI Growth Sprint tiers, is in development and not final yet. Until it is, we'll scope cost directly with you based on your organization's size and budget reality, rather than asking a nonprofit to pay an enterprise rate.

Financial Services & Insurance
Synesis's founder has personally led enterprise AI work in banking, and that experience shapes how we think about regulated environments. This lane is intentionally reached through warm, personal introductions rather than open outreach, while Synesis builds more public, referenceable proof in this space.
Healthcare & Life Sciences
Not an active vertical yet. If your organization is in this space and curious, we're happy to talk, just know this isn't a space we have dedicated, proven playbooks for today.
